O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore and Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don’t break it
Love was made for me and you L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore and Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don’t break it
Love was made for me and you Love was made for me and you
Love was made for me and you
M-O-T-H-E-R
“M” is for the million things she gave me,
“O” means only that she’s growing old,
“T” is for the tears she shed to save me,
“H” is for her heart of purest gold;
“E” is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
“R” means right, and right she’ll always be,
Put them all together, they spell
“MOTHER,”
A word that means the world to me.
WOW…
Amazing. I was reading the lyrics and a picture of my Mum appeared..
That was just brilliant..
x

You are a bit of a special person you are..

Very beautiful post Seeker! I love the letter description of Mother.
LB: I saw my Granny…Pawesome 🙂
Good eyes, Blinky, good eyes 😀 Thank you, Granny.
Happy Mother’s Day, Perpetua. Nice of you to include me! Ta! 😀
Of course!
Love this post, P. Really lovely. 🙂
Thanks, Did I include you in the picture? I can’t remember. 😛
Yes, thank you! 🙂
I love the song. And yes we are all mothers in one way or another. My felines are a testament to that.
Yisraela
🐱 Did you see yourself in the picture? Somehow the gravatar is tiny.
No I didn’t. I went back but can’t see what you are talking about. Where specifically my angel.
Yisraela
You are in there.
AMEN- well said
Thank you for a mother of nine.
🙂
Just love that song P 😉
Such a lovely post for all the mothers out there.
And like Paulette said – you’re a mother no matter if your kid is human or furry or just adopted – hope your day is brilliant!!
Paulette is such a wise woman. Did you see latest post about her being interviewed? It was good. My day is wet, wet, wet….
I saw the post and watched the interview – you’re right – a wise woman 😉
Hot chocolate might help the wetness along…
With marsmallow. 😛
Heck yeah!!!
Happy Mother’s Day Perpetua.
Pam, Happy Mother’s day to you, too. Perpetua.
This wish needed to have it’s window … P, have a great Mother’s (and non-mother’s) Day!! I hope you really enjoy your day!! 🙂
TK… will enjoy it with this liquid sunshine. You, too, eh? 😛
It’s also cold and windy. Good thing, though, because I need to finish my work, and if it was nice, I would be out there!
I hope you ARE enjoying your day!! 🙂
Finally, I planted some succulents in my rock garden. Hope it will survive. Work? on a Sunday?
I am not someone with a green thumb. I even killed cactuses once!
Yes, well, it seemed like a great idea when I accepted the job. Someone approached me to write about my cancer for a book she’s publishing. It is turning out to be way more difficult than I would have thought. I get very emotional “going through that again.” I can really only write when my friend is nearby, because when I finish writing for the day, we do something fun to change my brain-space. The deadline was actually May 5. So I’m pushing to finish it today, or tomorrow at the latest.
But I have to tell you. I enjoy seeing your comments when I check my blog during breaks. So thank you! 🙂
Kkay, last one. When it’s published let me know, I would like to read it and will advertise it in the blogging world. Sweet dreams. 😛
Heehee … I’m not getting a cent from it. But the real reason I’m doing it is that I hope my story will help a woman who’s bought the book hoping for comfort. I know how overwhelmed I was, and if my story can help someone, then “Yay!!” Yep, we’ll both shout it from our virtual rooftops! 🙂 ‘night!
Fantastic post, my friend! I’ve loved that song for years now … can’t even remember where I originally heard it. As a non-mother, I thank you!! 🙂
I love that song and makes me dance as along. You are welcome. Just have to put your picture in there. 😛
Hahaha … I’m in an astronaut suit waving a Canada flag!! :>
It’s either you or Rufus. 😆
Hard to make out, isn’t it? Heehee … actually, Rufus is pretty good with his hands; we have fun when I throw something at him, like a toy mouse, and he’ll use his paw and throw it back at me. So I suppose he could easily wave the Canadian flag … heehee 🙂
Well, if the day comes when Ruf can wave the flag, please change your gravatar. 😆
You got it!!
Have a good night, my friend! 🙂
na nite, mon amie. 😛
what lovely words. i don’t really like the tune so i sung my own version to myself here in my room 🙂 bless you seeker
It was sang by Nat King Cole, oldies but goodies, for me. Can you tape it your version, post it and let us hear yours? Blessings to you as well.
gosh i only just seen this comment. oh dear. I dare not sing my version. I don’t know what it was way back in may. it would be different now.
Happy Mother’s Day to a caring person, the Seeker.
Although I don’t really know you, from your posts, I already know you are a very caring person, who loves people.
not as friendly as you, friendlytm. :P. Love, baby, love what makes the world go round. When do I get to see you in that table setting?
You see me everywhere and everyday! Ha ha, thanks for your comments!
That means, never. 😛
Reblogged this on The Tatterdemalion and commented:
Very true…mother’s day is not only for the maternal ones, I suppose. Those who offered their lives to act as mothers have the right to be praised today, too 🙂
Marvelous, mon fred. Thank you for agreeing and reblogging. You are praise worthy. Happy Love Day.
Thanks for thanking me! Your post, is, well, reblog-worthy! 🙂
Awww! I totally agree with the meaning of mother 🙂 May I say that that’s the meaning of mother for me, too? Hahaha! 😀
Yes, you may. 😛
Hahahaha! 😀
