A thought about blindness on pets:
“Blindness is, boiled down to a point, only one of the senses. Yes it is a very important one, but the lack of it does not end our lives. Life goes on. We go on. Life is all about accepting the things we cannot change.”
Bless your heart for passing along my article! I am so glad your enjoyed it enough to share it here on your wonderfully inspiring blog. Hugs, Gina
You are welcome, Gina. There is always another side to the story. Not just humans.
We should learn more from our animals than we really do…
Thanks for the reblog P!
Spoke by a wise woman, thank you Ms. g.
‘Acceptance’ is not always easy to accept, luckily our pets teach it to us, constantly. Tara also teaches me patience. 🙂
Pets are very accepting creature such as cats and dogs. I makes me feel ashamed of myself. Thank you, Ela.
Pets are extraordinary teachers, especially of love. 😀
I have never had a blind dog but have been slave to 2 deaf dogs. My current deafie, Butter, knows many hand signs. Her other senses more than make up for her deafness. Believe it or not, she is the first to know when my husband is just about home. She can sense it before the others can hear it 🙂 :3-]
Wow, a deaf dog. Animals tend to have sixth sense. Thank you, Cooper.
I really enjoyed reading your post- Thankyou. Very moving and a wonderful way of finding perspective. Animals teach us so much:)
Lucy, thank you for your kind words. I notice a cat in your arms. What is the name of your cat?
My pleasure. Pippy is my cat’s name 🙂
