Fireflies in the Garden
Here come real stars to fill the upper skies,
And here on earth come emulating flies,
That though they never equal stars in size,
(And they were never really stars at heart)
Achieve at times a very star-like start.
Only, of course, they can’t sustain the part.
An allegory between the stars and the fireflies:
We may want to shoot for the stars and be like fireflies to shine like the stars but I say just be yourself, you will shine with your inner light.

“Shine with our inner light” is very profound.
You all have one.
Was talking about Robert Frost at brunch yesterday. Miles to go before… Great poet. ❤
With the work you do for the dogs, you shine!
phenomenal!!!
Indeed.
So very beautiful, eh?
Have you looked at the moon in the last two nights? It was closest to Earth, as I understand it, and was called a supermoon. I looked, and it really did look bigger! Gotta say, I love nature! 🙂
No, I did not. The last super moon I saw was either late 1990 or early 2000. It was GIGANTIC. Did you take a picture?
No, I was too tired to get my tablet. But it was beautiful, that’s for sure. It’s too cloudy right now so I can’t compare.
I know the feeling. I was too tired last night, as well, still is. Heat makes me tired. Be well.
Inspirational ..:)
Thank you, Andy.
