Earth, Wind, Fire and Water are the quintessential natural forces of nature.
We can see the earth, fire and water but not the Wind.

Who has seen the wind, neither your nor I
Do we have to see it to believe it?
Who Has Seen the Wind?
BY CHRISTINA ROSSETTI
Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you:
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.
Who has seen the wind?
Neither you nor I:
But when the trees bow down their heads,
The wind is passing by.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Forces of Nature.”
Ah, I have a recording of Yoko Ono singing this. It’s, in her way, very slightly weird. Love your interpretation!
So nice to have a poem accompany your photography!
Thank you.
Love this ~ do love the sound and feel, but sure would like to see it one day 🙂
If you’ve seen let me know, tee hee.
🙂
Beautiful poem and the sound of wind. So well said about the force of nature.Thank you, Perpetua! ❤
Thank you, Amy. My favorite poem. That was a very windy autumn day and I really wanted to capture the sound of the wind. Perpetua
I love the sound of the wind you captured! It goes perfectly with the beautiful poem. 🙂
One of my favorite poems and a sound we here in the Chicago area quite often. 🙂

All time fav poetry and for Chicago, the windy city as far as I remember it.
I do like those words of Christina Rossetti – wonderful imagery!
Just simply sublime and mystical.
The sounds that the wind makes too, Beautifully peaceful, especially by deer Lake 🙂
Yes, Deer Lake tends to capture the wind due to it’s “valley” like protective environment. Love that lake.
Me too 🙂 🙂
