It’s Holy Saturday and I am meditating on The Way of the Cross as I see it focus on education in picture form.
Jesus is condemned to death
Jesus is Laden with the cross
Jesus falls for the first time
Jesus meets His Mother
Jesus is helped by Simon
A holy woman wipes the face of Jesus
Jesus falls for the second time
Jesus consoles the daughters of Jerusalem
Jesus falls for the third time
Jesus is despoiled of His garments
Jesus is nailed to the cross
Jesus dies on the cross
Suffer the little children, the parents, special needs, new immigrants, teachers, front line works, aboriginals, and much more when funding is continuously cut by BC provincial government.
It’s hard to show a culture of care and social responsibility when children’s education is at stake. BC has a strong economy yet funds are diverted someplace else I know not where.
So I weep.
