Tag, You’re It!

Meanwhile, in Canada, a bulletin board:  Parents, tag you’re it! Love Teachers.

We have a teacher in our family, and she is coming home for the summer.

Warning: Parents, aunties, uncles, and cousins, watch out, our lovely teacher is coming home for the summer!

Messages of banters were popping in and out of cell phones between parents and siblings as the teacher is updating what is happening on the highway from Fort McMurray, Alberta heading to Langley, British Columbia.

Travel plans delayed. Highway collision, One vehicle up in smoke. Teacher posted.

O-Oh… a trail of destruction follows the teacher.

Get my bed ready, Mom. I don’t want to sleep on the couch. Teacher demanded.

So far, teaching is right for her according to this story:

6-year-old: “Miss Logan! I like your shirt!”

Oh! Thank you!

*Looks off into the distance* “We had a shirt like that at home once.”

Oh really?

“Ya. My dog ate it.”

Oh no…

“Ya. It got stuck in him.” *straight-faced* “Then he died…”

Well, that story took a turn for the worst real fast!

Little does she know, as a family, a lesson plan is prepared for her to have summer school teaching for her nephew who just finished kindergarten; as well as a glorified Nanny for her niece.

Hey, that’s what family is all about.

Tag, you’re it. AJ! Welcome back, Teach!

  1. How wonderful to have her back. I love how the little boy got that attitude by the end of the year. Not a bad attitude, just that appropriate little boy look.

    • Yes, for the summer. Then back to Alberta to resume teaching. As for her nephew, having seen the ‘outside’ world, he is more confident.

Please share your reflection. Thank you.
